Course DescriptionUnited States History will begin with the Reconstruction of the Union following the destruction of the Civil War. We will begin by looking at the effects of the Civil War on the Union during Reconstruction and the eras following, such as The Gilded Age and the Progressive Era. From there, we will move through the 1900's and study the political, economic, and cultural changes which changed the nation. While studying these eras, we will also look at how the geography of the United States played a role in the shaping of the events that created our history.
